Mug Moguls Review

Mug Moguls Review 2

E-commerce has been the primary business idea for most people who aspire to become a digital entrepreneur. I can’t determine exactly why, but I think it’s because everybody’s doing it.

Furthermore, the industry has certainly received a big boost since most people now prefer shopping online. Unfortunately, with almost everyone going into e-commerce, it has now become too difficult for newcomers to even profit from their business venture.

A digital entrepreneur named Brock Hamilton has a suggestion for you. If you want to to venture into e-commerce, how about trying your hand at print-on-demand? Specifically, selling custom-designed mugs.

He has a training program that can help you succed in that venture, but is it worth the investment? Hear out my thoughts in my Mug Moguls review.

But before getting into the review…

What Is Mug Moguls?

Mug Moguls Review 1

As the name suggests, Mug Moguls is an online course that teaches its students how to sell custom-designed mugs. Specifically, it gives its students the knowledge on how to build their own print-on-demand business by selling mugs on different online platforms (especially Etsy).

It claims that, through this business model, students who enrolled in the course can potentially earn a consistent income. The sales page suggests up to $1,500 to $2,500 per week, though I would strongly advise that you should evaluate these claims first.

Since it’s a print-on-demand business model, this means that you don’t need to worry about stocking up on any inventory first to start this business. Nor you won’t have to worry about shipping the products to your potential buyers themselves.

Because Mug Moguls will teach you where you can find the most affordable third-party suppliers for the products you’re going to sell. And those suppliers will handle the production and fulfillment of the orders through your online shop.

All you have to do here is to provide the design, set up your online store, and market it.

Mug Moguls prefers Etsy as their primary platform because this is the most popular go-to website for people who wish to purchase products with unique designs, such as mugs. According to some reports, it’s said that Etsy had over 81 million people browsing the platform and buying from it last 2020.

Despite those buyer numbers, it is overshadowed by the fact that there are also around 4.3 million sellers on the Etsy platform. And many of them also sell the same products as yours.

This means you’re going to have to face some incredibly tough competition should you ever go forward with this business model. It also means that achieving success here isn’t as straightforward as Mug Moguls suggests.

How Does Print-On-Demand Work?

Mug Moguls Review 3

The print-on-demand business model works a little differently than other forms of online selling.

Just like how you would do it in online selling, you’ll first create an online store on your chosen platform. You’ll also need to list out the items that you’re going to sell in the store.

However, the biggest difference here is that you won’t have to stock up on any physical inventory once you’ve listed the shop. You don’t even have to create the items that you’re going to sell.

Instead, you’re going to find third-party suppliers for your products. And as much as possible, you’ll want a supplier that can offer you the lowest price possible so you can still have profits.

How it works is like this. When a customer places the order, it’s then sent to the third-party supplier. From there, the supplier will handle all the production of the items, and they’ll also handle the shipping of the items to the buyer once they’re finished.

You’re only responsible for the design of the products you’re going to sell. Once that is done, the supplier will take care of the rest.

Basically, it’s very similar to dropshipping, in that you don’t have to store any physical inventory in your own home or any place.

For the platform of choice for this business model, Etsy seems to be the popular choice since it has the most number of visitors. While there are other platforms like Society6 for this kind of business, they seem to pale in comparison compared to Etsy.

For the suppliers, Alibaba is the most popular website to go to since it’s the cheapest out there. It comes with a few risks, however, as there have been reports of customers getting very low-quality products, or even garbage products, through it. The chances of that happening are very slim, however.

Who Created Mug Moguls?

Mug Moguls is created by Brock Hamilton.

Brock Hamilton

As far as social media and online presence are concerned, Brock Hamilton seems to be on the lower end of it. But that’s not to say he doesn’t have any legitimacy.

Brock Hamilton is well-known for his experience in website development and digital entrepreneurship, having a career that spans 16 years. He’s also a book author, being responsible for the book “How To Create A Website: A Step By Step Guide”, which is currently sold on Amazon.

2006 is when he started his career as an online marketer. He also seems to be quite an expert in lead generation, as he created 101Ways, a website that he ranked for over 25,000 keywords, and then sold to other businesses.

But he’s also known for having run multiple e-commerce stores in niches like outdoor furniture, travel, and most especially, print-on-demand. He’s well-known for his Etsy store eCopius, where he has sold over 11,563 print-on-demand mugs since November 2023.

Currently, he’s based in Queensland, Australia, where he continually grows and manages his multiple online businesses there.

How Much Does Mug Moguls Cost?

According to the sales page, the original price of the Mug Moguls course is a one-time cost of $495. But through their so-called “exclusive offer”, they’re now selling the course for a one-time payment price of $37.

Mug Moguls Cost

Personally, I think that the “discount” offered here is a lie. It could be that the online course only costs $37 all along, and they just make people think that they’re just tapping into the people’s F.O.M.O. (Fear Of Missing Out) to make them believe that they’re saving a lot of money when they enrolled in the course at that price.

When in fact, there’s no discount offer all along.

Is Mug Moguls Worth It?

As far as the online course is concerned, Mug Moguls seems to be an all-right course. It teaches what it’s supposed to teach, and it does so well.

Brock Hamilton himself also seems to be an okay guy. While his online presence isn’t the largest out there, there isn’t any indication that he’s a scammer. He seems to be legit.

However, I find Mug Moguls a bit lacking compared to other online courses in the same category. Specifically, it doesn’t have a private Facebook group that you can join once you’re enrolled.

While not really a big deal, it would be nice if they did have it, so you can have more interaction with the mentors behind the course, as well as your fellow students.

Furthermore, the training content provided by Mug Moguls doesn’t have any unique or groundbreaking differences that set it apart from other online courses. It’s more or less the same content that you can find elsewhere.

In fact, you may be able to get the same amount of knowledge and training from other programs that are free to take, in case you want to study the print-on-demand business model.

Thus, I don’t think Mug Moguls isn’t worth your money, at all. Why pay for a course like this when you can learn it for free?

Conclusion

It’s also worth noting that print-on-demand isn’t the best online business model out there. While it could be the simplest one to set up, actually earning real income from can be very tough.

Mainly because of the oversaturation of the Etsy platform. As stated before, there are millions and millions of sellers on Etsy, and even more are added as of this writing.

Even worse, many of them would be selling the same products as you are. Thus, you’re to face some really tough competition there.

And if you decide to use paid advertising to boost your marketing, it’s going to cost you a lot of money, which can further reduce the amount of potential profits you can earn here. Especially if you’re unable to sell anything for even just a day…

That being said, I don’t recommend print-on-demand. It’s too much hard work, and the returns may not be enough to compensate.
