Freemote Review

Freemote Review

Freelance developers are independent professionals who offer programming and coding skills on a project basis, often working remotely through platforms like Upwork and Freelancer. They possess diverse skills in web development, mobile apps, software engineering, and more.

One of the key advantages of being a freelance worker is the flexibility it offers, allowing developers to choose projects according to their skills and schedule.

Despite working independently, they excel in remote collaboration using tools like Slack and Zoom. They prioritize quality, meeting deadlines, and maintaining continuous learning to stay competitive in the ever-evolving tech landscape.

Freemote claims to have one of the most in-demand coding bootcamp offering training and coaching services from the comfort of your home.

In this review we will go over their training program, what you can learn from them and determine if their “sought-after” program is the perfect fit for you.

Meanwhile, the co-founder of Freemote, Jan Frey, started as a self-taught freelance web developer back in 2017.

He graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and continued his studies, eventually earning a master’s degree, both from the University of Duisburg-Essen in Germany.

In 2019, he worked at Eshop Guide as a frontend web developer, and the year after that, he juggled two roles: creating content for Conding With Jan GmBH (which he already stopped) and being the co-founder of Freemote.

While Jack’s expertise mainly focuses on programming, Jan, on the other hand, specializes with Shopify developing.

Pros and Cons

The program teaches coding for making Shopify online stores, rather than covering a wide range of coding subjects. It shows how to build and change websites on Shopify, which lots of stores around the world use.

It also focuses a lot on making themes, which means designing how Shopify stores look and work. This helps people get good at making stores that look nice and are easy to use for Shopify sellers.

Coding needs a lot of learning to get good jobs, and you have to really concentrate on it to be able to make money out of it. It’s not as easy as it sounds and if you’re not really passionate about it, it might not be for you. Plus, technology changes super fast, so programming languages and new ideas become old quickly. In addition, if you already know a lot about coding, this course might be too easy for you.

The program helps people get the special skills they need to do well in the fast-growing world of online stores, especially with Shopify. However, you still have to look at the fact if coding really is for you. Again, it is not an easy task and without enough enthusiasm, this could burn you out.

Also, the price of the program is quite expensive considering that they mostly focus on the basics which might not be beneficial to people who already has knowledge on both ecommerce and coding.
