Founders Of Ecom Family Academy

Before EFA

Reginald and Tania Jennings, a husband and wife duo that hails from Connecticut, United States are both IT professionals that graduated in the same university, Central Connecticut State University, getting a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management of Information Systems.

They have no business backgrounds whatsoever, but by learning from their parents who are both in the real estate realm, coincidence or not, it’s a given that they already have mentors on becoming entrepreneurs themselves.

Wanting to have any extra income possible that can be sustained together with their day jobs, the couple found out about ecommerce when Reginald’s mom bought a store for $5,000 from eBay.

Fixing broken computers and reselling it on Craigslist was his first move. They found success with it but it is hard to find computers to fix and resell, so they look for another approach on how they can continue selling online without the hassle of finding the product to sell. And that’s where they found out about the print-on-demand business model.

Founding of EFA

Venturing the unknown world of POD and connecting it to dropshipping, they’re not afraid of trying new things. And because of their perseverance, hard work, and patience they already have found and optimized the system where most people can join and explore the world of ecommerce with ease.

Now, they have owned the title Mr. and Mrs. Ecom for themselves, having to own a well-established ecommerce and mentoring business that helps budding and seasoned ecommerce business owners scale their businesses to newer heights.

Ecom Family Academy Course

The Ecom Family Academy course has 13 modules all in all.

Module 1: Course Introduction

Like in any course introduction, you’ll be welcomed as a new member of their family. There are 4 different videos demonstrating what to do first after onboarding, letting you know that they have a handbook that you must read to familiarize anything and everything that they’ll be discussing with you and preparations for the first week of your journey, briefing of what to expect and so much more.

Module 2: Important Documents

You’ll be guided accordingly to where you can access daily and weekly class recordings that you might need for future references if ever you forgot things that’s already been taught, and introduction to the platform, ShineOn, where designers and sellers POD jewelry products.

Module 3: Mindset

Setting goals and milestones to help you get motivated throughout your journey, and how to make your mindset parallel to these things so that you can achieve them faster than anyone else is what they’ll teach you in this module.

Module 4: Fundamentals

It’s a little bit introduction to the business model that Mr. and Mrs. Ecom used to build their ecommerce empire, the Print-on-Demand business model, together with the dropshipping model.

It covers their experiences, hardships that they’ve overcome so that you can familiarize yourself with it and if ever there’s a chance that you stumbled one yourself, realize that Mr. and Mrs. Ecom has gone past that and so can you by just following their instructions and reminders.

Module 5: Product Research

Product research, the core of any ecommerce business. They have what they call the “birds eye view” of finding the right product for your online store, a brief introduction on what to expect, what to do in case you found multiple trending products and so much more.

They’re not platform specific, so included in this module are 4 lessons, three of which are how you will conduct product research with Etsy, Facebook and with Pinterest and eBay.

Module 6: Design

This is where you’ll learn how to make designs for your products. A brief introduction to Canva is a first. Even if you’re not one of the talented personnels in the realm of art, they’ll also teach you how to properly outsource and find someone to do it for you, for an additional cost, of course.

Module 7: Store Building

While you have found a product to sell from Etsy, Facebook, Pinterest and eBay, you’ll be setting your shop in the Shopify platform. They’ll teach you from scratch, from functionalities needed, to having a logo, a brand, and everything in between to make your store fully equipped with the things needed for an operational store.

Module 8: Uploading Products

Once you have built your Shopify store, it’s time to upload products. In this module, they’ll teach you how to properly take photos of your product that are very pleasing when uploaded in your store, photos that will captivate buyers into buying your product.

Together with this, you’ll also be taught how to properly put descriptions on your product, bullet points, and more.

Module 9: Ad Creatives

The goal of ad creatives is to capture the audience’s attention, convey the brand’s message, and prompt a desired response, such as clicking a link, making a purchase, or engaging with the content. Effective ad creatives are not only visually appealing but also strategically aligned with the target audience and marketing objectives.

Together with this, you’ll also be taught how to create landing pages and such.

Module 10: TikTok Ads

TikTok Ads are becoming a trend nowadays because it’s less cheaper than Facebook Ads. In addition to that, there are also more TikTok users nowadays because of the entertainment that it can provide, making your TikTok Ads more visible to a big source of audience.

From setting up your TikTok Shopify app, to warming up your account, making and posting your first ad, gathering data on how that ad worked for a span of time and improving it to better scale your business.

Module 11: Custom Cat

Custom Cat

Aside from ShineOn, they also included a masterclass for the platform Custom Cat. They also offer print-on-demand and dropshipping services for ecommerce store owners. How it works is that you’ll send them your custom design. When a customer bought your product, they will right away print that design into the product and directly ship it to the customer’s doorstep.

Module 12: Facebook Ads

Introduction to Facebook Ads, Facebook Targeting, more product research with the Facebook platform and product launching are all included in this module. You’ll also be able to talk to Mr. Ecom (Reginald) if you have any questions regarding the subject matter.

Module 13: Masterclass Recordings

This is where you’ll have access to past and future masterclasses held. If you’re absent during a zoom call, you can keep up with what they’ve discussed.

The Ecom Family Academy course costs a one-time payment of $1495. They have a unique refund policy where you can only get a refund within 30 days and if you have spent a minimum of $1,000 on ads.

It goes to show that you have reached where they’re already teaching about how to make ads creative, TikTok and Facebook Ads and you’re still not seeing any progress with your store, then you’re eligible for a refund.
