Comprehensive Copywriting Academy Review

Nicki Krawczyk 5

Nicki Krawczyk believes that most copywriting training materials that are going around lack the quality that copywriting newcomers deserve. And even if some of them are, they are few and far between.

Having an extensive copywriting career that spans several years, Nicki knows that newbie copywriters may have a hard time being successful in the industry. Especially since the industry is expected to grow in the following years.

With that in mind, she created the Comprehensive Copywriting Academy, for her to share the knowledge that she thinks she should have learned when she started copywriting. Continue reading for my Comprehensive Copywriting Academy review.

What Is The Comprehensive Copywriting Academy?

Comprehensive Copywriting Academy 1

The Comprehensive Copywriting Academy is an online course by Nicki Krawczyk. It aims to teach its students the knowledge they’re going to need to start being a copywriter.

It’s also part of the Filthy Rich Writer, an online platform that contains several educational materials and tools to assist the copywriter.

Copywriting is a process wherein you write something that is intended for the reader to take action, like buying a product, donating to a cause, joining a movement, etc. As long as what you write is to encourage someone to do something, then it’s already copywriting.

Copywriters are needed for a company’s marketing campaign. They are responsible for writing texts and scripts that promote a company’s product or service and are used in the company’s promotional materials like online and offline advertising, e-mails, etc.

Copywriters are known to be in demand, as a lot of companies employ several of them, whether in-house or freelance, to write their numerous marketing campaigns. However, as a newcomer, it can still be quite difficult to secure clients without ample knowledge.

The Comprehensive Copywriting Academy aims to change that.

Both beginners and advanced copywriters can benefit from the knowledge that Nicki lays down in this course. For beginners, it helps them learn more about copywriting and how to get started. Advanced copywriters, on the other hand, can learn from here how they can acquire high-paying clients, diversify their services, and greatly increase their copywriting revenue, while still maintaining a good work-life balance.

Nicki herself also states that, for writers, copywriting is the best and most lucrative occupation a writer can take. It’s not uncommon for some good copywriters to earn around four to five digits per month, per client.

But of course, the takeaway here is that you’re someone who loves to write to get the most out of copywriting. Being a writer certainly isn’t hard.

But the question is, what if you don’t love writing? Then copywriting may only become too much of a chore for you.

Besides, there are better moneymaking methods out there that are better than copywriting. Especially since they give you passive income.

Who Is Nicki Krawczyk?

Nicki Krawczyk is the mentor behind the Comprehensive Copywriting Academy. She is also the owner of the Filthy Rich Writer website, as well as a longtime copywriter and copywriting coach.

As a copywriter, she has worked with several businesses, big or small, throughout her career. She has worked for them, either as a in-house copywriter, or a freelancer.

Due to this, she claims that she is earning six figures or more in just a single year.

Nicki’s experience as a copywriter spans several years already (20 years, according to her). Thus, she has a wealth of experience in copywriting and knows and is updated on all the current trends (this includes the A.I. trend). This allows her to consistently be on top of her copywriting game.

Aside from the Filthy Rich Writer, she is also the president of Nicki K Media, another training platform that caters to freelancers who want to build a successful business out of their career (this also includes copywriting).

What’s Inside The Comprehensive Copywriting Academy?

The Comprehensive Copywriting Academy contains a total of 30 hours worth of video content, spread across 6 modules. In addition, you’ll also get plenty of copywriting resources like templates, challenges, and even mastermind calls with Nicki Krawczyk herself.

Here’s a brief rundown of the modules that are included in the Comprehensive Copywriting Academy.

Module 1: Copywriting Fundamentals

Considering that this is the first module of this course, this one covers the barebones basics of copywriting, and what makes it different from other types of writing.

Basically, copywriting is drastically different from content writing. Because your goal in copywriting is to send a message to your readers to take action on something, whether it’s clicking a link, calling this number, buying this product, joining a cause, etc.

Thus, you’ll also learn some terms her that are commonly used in copywriting, such as what are CTAs (Call-To-Action), etc.

Module 2: Copywriting Tactics

Now that you’ve got the basics down, it’s time for you to learn some advanced techniques. This module will now teach you some advanced copywriting tactics that can prove to be useful to apply to your copies.

The most important lesson here to learn is emotional persuasion, and how you can use it to deliver your message to your readers. If you can successfully appeal to the emotions of your readers using your copy, you’ll be able to convince them to take action.

Module 3: The Project Lifecycle

This module will now teach you about collaboration. How you can be professional to your clients for them to have the utmost confidence in you and your abilities. Basically, just make sure that you give your best to the project and treat it as your own.

Just like Nicki’s mindset. She doesn’t consider herself a freelancer or a consultant. Rather, she sees herself as a partner to that client, meaning they’re in it together, allowing for increased collaboration.

Module 4: Interactive Copywriting

As a copywriter, you will write digital advertisements for various materials, like ad banners, email marketing, mobile sites, websites, and more. Believe it or not, each of them requires a different writing style for the message to be delivered effectively.

This module focuses on teaching just that. Here, you will learn a wide variety of copywriting types that you need to master, depending on the needs of any client you come across.

Module 5: Print Copywriting

This is almost the same as Module 4, only it covers most print media. You will learn different copywriting styles suitable for magazines, newspapers, direct mail, print sales letter, and more.

It is also known that Nicki Krawczyck loves print copywriting, probably even specializing in it. Thus, you can expect this module to be of higher quality than the rest.

Module 6: Building A Business

At this point, you should already have a good grasp of copywriting, including the various tactics and tricks of writing on different platforms.

So what’s next? It’s time for you that you market yourself to potential clients, and prove to them that you’re the right person for the job.

This module will cover your resume and portfolio creation, what to charge, how to look experienced even when you’re not, and everything else you need to start your online business.

How Much Does The Comprehensive Copywriting Academy Cost?

There are actually two versions of the CCA: A Free version and a Paid version.

The Free version only serves as a “preview” of sorts to the full online course, and thus, there’s nothing really much that you can get from it.

The Paid version, on the other hands, is the complete package. But costs a one-time payment of $597, or three separate installments of $217.

But there are instances wherein the price can drop to $$497 for individuals who go through the free training session called Landing Freelance Copywriting, and immediately sign up to the program once they’re finished.

There’s no refund policy present here. However, they do provide a so-called “30-Day Conditional Money-Back Guarantee” that’s based on the program’s sole discretion, meaning that even though you met their refund requirements, it’s still up to their discretion on whether you’ll get your money back or not.

To get the chance of a refund, you first need to meet these requirements:

  • Show proof that you’ve gone through the entire video training series and all modules.
  • Took action on the training
  • Pitched your services to at least 25 companies.

Again, even if you’ve met all of these requirements, there’s no guarantee that you’ll get your money back since it depends on the discretion of the program.

Conclusion: Is The Comprehensive Copywriting Academy A Must-Have?

The Comprehensive Copywriting Academy is a good (but not great) online for someone who wants to learn copywriting. It has plenty of training value and the mentor is a proven expert in the industry.

Nicki Krawczyk may not be the best copywriter around, but she’s one of the good ones out there.

Copywriting is also a great skill to learn if you want something that can earn you plenty of money. However, if you want your earnings to be consistent, you need to have a steady stream of clients to work with. No clients, no earnings.

This can prove to be quite a challenge, especially for a beginner, since there is a lot of well-established copywriters around as of late.

Plus, building a good portfolio to attract clients can take a lot of time. It’s not unusual for a copywriter to take years just to build a good portfolio that clients can find attractive. A newcomer may even take on unpaid projects just to build their portfolio.

Another drawback of having a copywriting career is that, technically, you’re still working for someone else (the client). Thus, it’s the client’s discretion whether or not they would still be willing to work with you after you finish one project with them. In worse cases, the client may even terminate your services if necessary.

Finally, and more importantly, copywriting won’t give you any opportunities for passive income due to the nature of the business.

Thus, I would suggest that you take copywriting as a business model only if you’re someone who simply loves to write, and not simply because it pays a lot. Because it’s not really that consistent in the long run.
